My name is Kalani Laimana. I was born in Honolulu Hawaii and moved to the Okanagan Valley when I was in my late teens. Entertainment is #1 in Hawaii, and music and performing have always been a part of my life. 

I have been a DJ for over 20 years; starting out as a turntable DJ DJing at events and clubs and eventually moved to radio.

During my career, I have shared the stage with such acts as British techno group  2 Unlimited, Love Inc, DJ Chris Sheppard,  Snow, Tone Loc, Montreal’s MC Mario, Canada’s DMC Champ DJ Wax, Chingy, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Obie Trice, The Powder Blues Band, 54-40, Kos, Bif Naked, Choclair, Moca Only, Baby Blue Sound Crew and Jully Black.

My radio show, The Saturday Night Hotmix with DJ Krucial K “The Flyin’ Hawaiian” ran in the BC interior for seven years until June of 2005.  During that time, I established myself as one of the top DJs in the Okanagan, and received the listener’s choice award for best Kelowna radio DJ in 2005.
